A rather romantic name for earrings. I made this pair of earrings for my little sister who lives in Japan. We met up in Hawaii for a short vacation and did lots of catching up. Love you, sis!

Flowers in Hawaii 2014

Here are some pictures of the flowers we saw in Hawaii this year. Everything we saw was just so out of this world!

Plumeria smelled intoxicating. 

Some kind of wild orchid. Just surprising beauty everywhere.

Plumeria at the Royal Hawaiian courtyard. Love the pink outlines on yellow petals.

We took a little hike at Manoa Falls this year. A gem near Waikiki.

Indian banyan tree. Many many years old.

Manoa Falls. This spot feels a few degrees lower than the rest of the city.

Hawaii 2014

Just got back from our dream-like trip to Hawaii with my family. Hawaii was good to me. It healed me in ways no other place could. Must be something special in the air and the water. A little gem on earth.

A Little Visitor

I found this guy sitting on a piece of okra leaf this morning. How cute! He was being real still while I took a bunch of pictures.
