Kona the Superdog

Yesterday was Halloween. We dressed up our dog Kona and greeted the trick-or-treaters with a bowl full of candy. Then it started raining. So much for the party night!

Kona Gets a Haircut

It is May, but it sure feels like summer already. There seem to be no more in-between seasons here in Atlanta. We decided to give our dog an early summer haircut so he could keep cooler.

Good for his hips. It has glucosamin and chondroitin.

And Yard Work Begins...

Today is the first time I felt like doing anything for the yard. Not too cold outside, and no bugs or pollen flying around yet. The ground is slightly less muddy. So I pruned knockout roses and white hydrangeas, which I probably should have done long ago.

Hide and Seek with a Dog

Our dog loves to hide under the coffee table. Maybe he thinks he's hiding from us, or it just feels cozy for him under there. When I saw him under the table with all of his toys, I couldn't resist taking pictures.

Let Us All Take a Nap

Some days are just simply like this. That heavy foggy feeling you have is only remedied by a leisurely afternoon nap. Let us all learn from our dogs and take a nap every now and then.

Muddy Yard

We've had some bad weather lately. Ice, snow and now rain. Our backyard hasn't had the time to dry out, and it looks really muddy. Ugh! Grass is looking patchy and sad. Of course our dog loves to walk on it and comes home with the muddy paws. We constantly wipe off his feet when he comes back into the house. When will this be over?

Neighborhood Watch

After a few days of unusual snow storm, I decided to go out on a street with my dog to check things out. Snow was already melting and making a small stream. 

8:30 AM. Winter wonderland.

Noon. Sun is out!

"I spy partially frozen monkey grass!"

"I spy a stream!"

"I spy a bird!"

"Ok, time to go home."

Wash Me!

We wash our dog on weekend. We go out to the dog park in our neighborhood, then we stop by at the pet store to get treats, and we come home for a shower. He likes this routine on weekend so much, he gets anxious on Friday night.

"Give me that bubbly stuff, daddy."

"I was keeping that for a snack later!"

"Not my eyes!"

"It's a spa treatment. This is the life!"
