Bathroom Renovation Day 1

The day has come! We've been talking about this project for several months now, but we are finally doing it! On Day 1, the guys will demolish the old bathroom, ripping the floor out to find out the water damage if any. Crossing my fingers!
Our bathroom before remodeling
70's retro glass doors. Bye-bye!
Bye bye old vanity!
The original tiles. We liked them, but we're not keeping them....
The door to the bathroom from our bedroom.
We had to cover up the furniture in the bedroom to keep off the dust.

More updates!

The end of Day 1 can be described as a huge mess. Lots of piles of tiles and wood pieces. It almost looked like fun to just take a huge power saw to cut into the walls. Water gushed out when the old pipe got snapped, poor guy had to go outside to stop the water main, but other than that, I think demolition went well.

Broken tiles...
This is where the toilet was...
This is where the vanity sink was...
Stuff is hauled away...

Our bedroom wall was partly taken down to make room for a bigger bathroom. Yeah, this is way more than what we could handle on our own. I'm glad we hired someone to do this....

The bedroom wall was removed!
They took out all the rotted wood on the floor.
