Loco Moco at Home

When we visited Hawaii, we had such a good time learning about their local dishes. Loco moco is a Hawaiian rice dish topped with a hamburger patty and a fried egg. I happened to have a leftover hamburger patty from the other night, so I decided to make my version of loco moco. If you can't go to Hawaii, bring Hawaii to you!

Loco Moco

1 cup cooked rice
1 hamburger patty
1 egg
Green onions for garnish

Hamburger patty in gravy

On a dinner plate, place cooked rice topped with a hamburger patty and a fried egg. If you'd like, you can make some gravy. Warm up your leftover patty in a skillet, remove the patty and add butter, flour, butter and beef broth to the bits of beef left on the skillet. Dashes of worcestershire sauce, ketchup and soy sauce would make the gravy mmm tasty.

Make the egg over easy so the yolk oozed out on the patty.
