We Are Well Into Fall

Yes, azaleas in fall.

Encore azaleas are blooming for the second time this year. I like this azalea because just when we think everything appears to have given up for the year, this shrub keeps on giving. We also have a sweet olive tree in bloom. The sweet smell of this bush is intoxicating. I planted it a couple years ago because it reminded me of the time I spent in Tokyo some time ago. When it gets colder outside, that's when it starts smelling. Mums are starting to bloom in the planter as well.

Encore azalea
Sweet olive, or ginmokusei in Japanese.
You can smell these tiny flowers from a mile away.
"Put your nose in them just like Mommy's doing!"
Little mums are thriving in the colder weather.
