Sweet Coconut Soup with Taro and Tapioka

Soothing cold soup

If there is only one thing I have to choose from the abundant dishes at the buffet we had every morning in Hawaii, this might just be it. It is a chilled cup of purple soup with cubes of taro and tapioka. The color was beautiful, which was a huge plus when I didn't have much appetite in the early morning, and it was mildly sweet and fragrant with coconut. The little cubes of taro and tapioka were like little gems. Nice. 

Did George Clooney have this soup when he came here?
