Asian Tuna Niçoise Salad

This dish is my take on the famous tuna niçoise salad. It's healthy and surprising easy. Slice the tuna on a bed of lettuce, you can make a fancy meal out of it.

Black sesame seeds add a crunch.

Asian Tuna Niçoise Salad
(For two servings)

2 pieces tuna steaks
2 tsp black sesame seeds
2 Tbsp tamari salad dressing for marinade
1 Tbsp sesame oil
Salt and pepper
Salad stuff, whatever you like for your salad

For dressing:
3 Tbsp tamari salad dressing
1 tsp wasabi paste
1/2 tsp sesame oil
Splash fresh lemon juice

Base for my dressing
Wasabi dressing goes well with tuna. I like it really spicy.

In a Ziploc bag, add tuna and tamari dressing and marinate for 15 minutes. Take them out and pat them with a paper towel. Sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides of the steaks and gently press them on the fish. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Warm sesame oil in a skillet and sear them for 1-2 minutes on each side. Put the slices on a bed of lettuce and drizzle the dressing.

Sear the surface
I like the nutty flavor from the sesame seeds .
