Bacon and Shiso Wrapped Tofu

Wrap those boring tofu cubes with bacon. They make good finger food when you get hungry. Shiso leaves give a nice clean flavor to them.

"Don't call me boring!"

Bacon and Shiso Wrapped Tofu

Firm tofu, 4 pieces, cut 2 inch-cubes
2 pieces of bacon, cut in half
Handful of shiso leaves
1 1/2 Tbsp noodle dipping sauce

Leftover from the other day. I used 4 pieces for this recipe.
Shiso leaves. There are lots more where that came from....
Wrapped in shiso and bacon

Cut tofu into cubes and wrap them with a piece of shiso and a piece of bacon. Secure them with a toothpick if the bacon is not long enough to wrap them all the way around. Sauté them in a skillet until the bacon is cooked and nicely browned. Add noodle dipping sauce and turn the tofu cubes gently to coat until the sauce is almost gone.

Cooked in its own fat.
Garnished with shiso flowers.

Bacon is good in so many things....
