First Stop: Kyoto

Every time we go back to Japan, we make a point of going to a place for a few days that my hubby has never visited before. This time was Nara, the ancient capital of Japan some 1300 years ago. We made a brief stop at Kyoto since it was on the way to Nara.

Hundreds of taxis are standing by at Kyoto station.

People line up for a drink of sacred water as they pray for a long healthy life.
